The Snow Queen stands over her castle, which is exactly where she should be, because if you rule over ice, stars, you generally prefer good visibility. At her side are two guard wolves who have never questioned her authority since she once 'looked' at them.
She holds out a galaxy of snow and stars.
Her glow lasts all night, illuminating with stars long after the lights go out, the blue daylight colours are an icy deep blue. The painting is sealed with a semi-satin varnish for a long-lasting finish, capturing the cold power of the Snow Queen’s realm, ready to dominate your wall.
This painting took longer than usual, 3 months. I froze myself many times because I changed the composition mid way and didn't know how to finish, it was larger than I'd painted before. It was much blacker to begin with, in the end the changes worked.
The photos with a yellow cast to them were photographed under room lighting so the true colour is white/blue.
She is the first of a 2026 glow in the dark 'Queens of Light and Shadow' series.
