Where is your glow in the dark studio?
I started painting in Christchurch New Zealand about 15 years ago. I lived for 10 years in Halswell. I had a good space there to paint. It's not a studio open to the public but I painted thousands of Moons, comets and stars in New Zealand. Now I live rurally in SW Australia. Don't be imagining dry sand and flies though, the SW is an amazingly lush paradise of incredible wild life. We live in a rural area next to Bridgetown WA. The tourism slogan for Western Australia is “Walking on a Dream” and that is exactly how our adventure in SW Australia has been the last year. Busselton has been our new home town in SW Australia. It’s known for its long 1.8 km jetty that goes far out into the shallow Geographe bay. The beaches in Busselton are yellow/white sands and the water is clear and often smooth like glass. "I have sunlight on my glow in the dark stars all day but they don't glow... why?"
This was an old problem that was more common when I first started painting glow stars about 15 years ago. Every now and then I had a frustrated customer wondering why she had put her stars in daylight all day long but they weren't glowing. These were also usually people who had not yet put the stars on the ceiling but had them sitting on a table. So some of these people were not looking at them at night with their eyes adjusted to the darkness. Not the best way to view glow stars. It's also not the best way to charge the stars. US TARIFFS - Australia to USA - It's all good!
Quick summary on the new tariffs to the US from Australia - My original artworks are exempt from tariffs and my other products like canopies will be sent via a method where there will be no tariffs to pay. The new tariffs and removal of the De minimus Exception There are now new 10% tariffs on most Australian products to the US. (Previously products under $800 were exempt from tariffs.)
