A batch of smaller landscapes before I start another large fantasy work!

These paintings are halfway between Shadowlux Art and Stella Murals. Night skies but with colour! They're calming and fun to paint. I paint a batch of these in-between the more complicated fantasy paintings I'm working on and they act like a palette cleanser.

Maybe one day the fantasy art will feel easier but it is so hard at the moment with lots of mistakes, repaints and drama! The low point last year was working on a painting for a month, I wanted to sand a little area back and the sander went right through the canvas. It ended up on the wood pile. I was so gutted I couldn't believe it. Yes, there were tears. But next day I started again, even though I kind of hated it by then and repainted it. I think I finished the new one in a week.

I actually heard an animal portrait artist who is at the top of her game say that she still almost doesn't want to start a painting because she thinks it might not work! I saw on facebook another fantasy artist who is totally top level, show a painting that she had painted completely over three times!

So it happens to the best of them, but these little paintings are my chill out, 'nothing bad can happen here' artworks. Colour, glow, stars :)
